Some Lovely Gifts

Happy New Year! I truly hope 2017 brings good health and happiness to you all!

I may be a tad late on the bandwagon, however I'm kicking 2017 off with a 'What I got for Christmas' type post. I know it already seems like so long ago since we celebrated Christmas, and many people have already popped these posts up on their blogs a while back... however, I just wanted to enjoy Christmas with my loved ones so I thought the post could wait.

I was so very lucky this year and received so many lovely gifts from family and friends. Alongside tickets to see Lord of the Dance (for the 3rd time), and vouchers to spend on nice little things for myself I was also given some really thoughtful and generous presents.... and I am truly grateful.

My beautiful friend Levinia spoilt me rotten and I truly love every single present she bought for me (she clearly knows me too well)! The gift bag she popped everything in smelt utterly divine, as it was filled with tons of Lush goodies alongside some Yankee Candle Tartlets (cue heart eye emoji).

From other family members I also received some wonderful Liz Earle goodies, gel polishes to use under my MyLee LED lamp and replacements of my beloved Urban Decay De-slick Setting Spray and Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara.

Alongside my LOTD ticket and my Instax Mini 8, my mom also gave me the most wonderful and thoughtful gift of all time which actually made me cry on Christmas morning (happy tears don't worry)! Ever since I was young I've always loved watching back our old home videos, moments my parents had captured throughout our childhood. However, since they were on VHS, they were beginning to get worn and with the constant development of technology we no longer had a way to play them.

So, after months of hard work from my mom, I sat on Christmas morning and unwrapped what has become my most favourite gift for a long time. A box filled with every single home video from my childhood years put onto DVD. Now, as lovely as cameras, nail varnish, makeup and any other gift I was lucky enough to receive is...  nothing can beat that. A truly thoughful gift that I'll be able to enjoy for years to come.

What was your favourite present?
