For about a year now my skin has been terrible, and
unfortunately, I’ve suffered from more (and bigger) breakouts than ever before.
It’s been horrible, and it really knocked my confidence in going out in public
without any makeup on my face. I tried various things, but the breakouts kept
coming back. So (as you do), I scoured
the internet for help.
One great thing about blogging, is that I’ve learnt a vast
amount about brands and products I’d once never even heard of. La Roche-Posay was a name I’d been hearing mentioned more and
more frequently across the blogosphere, and with it being stocked in Boots, it
was easily available. I hit up their website to search for products to help
with breakouts, and came across their Effaclar Duo+.
I’ve always been cautious when trying new products…
particularly when they are applied to your face. But with all the problems I’d
been having with my skin, I thought I’d just give it a go… and I’m so glad I
did. I’m generally quite skepitcal when a product says ‘visible results in 24
hours’, but after my first day using this, there really were visible results! The
Effaclar Duo+ is an anti-blemish cream with the aim to help target the key
signs of blemish-prone skin. It’s quite a thin consistency that you apply to
the entire face in both the morning and evening, and I find it sits perfectly
on my skin. If it’s not giving your face the hydration it needs, then
try popping your normal moisturiser over the top to boost your skin’s
hydration….. although for me personally, it’s definitely enough on its own most
days.
I really don’t understand how it works, but all I know is
that it does. As I said above, even after one day’s use my horrible red spots
were drastically reduced, and since then, I’ve had far fewer breakouts and general skin issues. Of course I’ve still had spots; I just think my skin type
means they’re never going to fully go away, but overall it’s definitely been so
so soooo much better!
On the La Roche-Posay website, it states that the Effaclar
Duo+ is ‘possible the last anti-blemish cream you’ll ever try’, and I’m not
joking when I say that for me, I really think this is the case!
