It's no secret that I love Christmas. The lights, the music, the christmas trees..... I just can't get enough of everything that surrounds the festive season! It's the most wonderful time of the year, as they say!
Now, the last few weeks I've spent my time cooped up in the house, trying to get my university assignments finished for this semester. December arrived my house looked rather sad and unfestive; so, as soon as I got my assignments finished last Wednesday, I set aside the next day for total relaxation... as well as decorating my house for Christmas!
I love real Christmas trees more than anything. They smell so incredible, and I think they just add to the festive feeling! However, I bought a real one last year, and since they are so expensive for something that you really only have for a few weeks, I begrudgingly settled for an artificial one this year.... but fear not, it looks beautiful. I mostly used decorations we've had for years, although I did buy myself a few new things to spruce up the tree a bit!

As well as making the tree look pretty, I put a string of battery powered star lights across my mantle piece, alongside a few candles, cards and other decorations. Now my house feels well and truly festive, and it's so wonderful relaxing in the living room with all the pretty lights turned on! I love it!
