I love Bare Minerals original mineral foundation. It's something I use pretty much on a daily basis, and have done for over a year now. I love the way I have found a shade that perfectly suits my skin, and the way it looks natural on the skin without clogging your pores. However, I've never actually really tried any other products from the brand, and when I saw this beautiful eyeshadow set in TKmaxx a few weeks ago, I really wanted to give it a try. I was lucky enough to find it reduced from £29 to only £16.99, which for eight eye shadows, I thought was pretty damn good!
The eight loose powder shadows come encased in this beautiful box which is perfect for permanent storage, or if you remove the cardboard frame from inside, it can easily used to store anything you like!
Colour-wise as you can see, there is a vast range of shades, from nudes and browns, to pinks and purples, making it the perfect set for pretty much anyone. As they are loose powders, they can get a tad messy. However for me, I just tip a bit into the lid, swirl my brush (or use my finger) and pat onto the eyelid. Considering they are loose powders, the fall out you get when applying isn't actually too bad, so you can quite easily apply the rest of your makeup first without fear of ruining it with bits of eyeshadow dropping down your face!
I really love how you can build up these colours as much or as little as you wish, meaning you can create both subtle and dramatic eye looks for any time of day and any occasion! As with most eyeshadows, the deeper browns - dark chocolate and cocoa - do appear to have slightly more pigmentation, so its worth baring that in mind before you go over the top with the amount you're applying!
Overall, I really love this little set! TKmaxx can be a great place to shop if you time it right!
