A Few New Beauty Items!

I'm back! Yes, it really has been a while.... I do apologise about that. University assignments and exam revision got well and truly in the way and my blogging mojo well and truly diminished.... but not any more! Today, I'm back with a brand new post for you all, and as of now, I'll be back with my usual blogging schedule (new posts every monday, wednesday friday)... so hooray!

A few days after finishing university for the year, I jetted off to New York City and got back last thursday, feet and bank account both hurting! So, I though I'd share with you a few things I picked up whilst in the big apple.

To be honest, I surprised myself. I thought I would by far more beauty items then I actually did... although I think it is safe to say that the majority of my spending happened in bath and body works (haul to come)! Despite scouring almost every Sephora and drugstore I came across, there weren't really many products that really stood out to me... so if you want to know what beauty bits I deemed worthy of my money, then keep reading!

*sighs*.... ahhh, it truly pains me to start using this blusher because it's just so damn beautiful. It's the Milani powder blush in Coral Cove 05. I love blusher, I really do, and standing in front of the Milani stand in CVS I just wanted to buy all of their gorgeous shades.... but luckily for my bank account I resisted. This particular coulor really stood out to me, and since my collection seems to be lacking a pretty coral summer/spring shade, then I deemed this a truly 'practical' purchase! It feels super soft when applied on to the cheeks and has a brilliant amount of pigmentation, meaning you only need to apply a tiny amount in order to achieve gorgeous colour pay off.

So many people talk about The Balm Cosmetics... particularly this Mary Lou Manizer, yet I was still yet to try any of their products! When I spotted this in Duane Read, I just couldn't leave it behind. I've used it every day since I bought it, and it's safe to say that I'm really glad I did. It adds such a beautiful highlight and is the perfect shade for my skin tone.

(Blue - vanilla mint, Pink - Coconut Milk)

I've seen these funky looking lip balms in Selfridges here in the UK; but at around £7 each, I definitely wasn't tempted to pick one up... so, when I saw this in New York for a fraction of the price, I grabbed them straight away. Not only do these EOS lip balms look super cute when you pull them out of your bag, but they also taste incredible and leave your lips feeling nourished, soft and hydrated. They were literally life savers on the long haul flight home when the air con decided to play havoc with my lips!

I also picked up a replacement of my Bare Minerals original mineral foundation from Macy's and a full sized Too Faced 'better then sex' mascara... but since my concealer ended up all over both of them, I decided it was best not to photograph them for this post! After all, no one wants to see dirty looking makeup products!
