I have literally had this particular post on my 'to-do' list since June, and finally, I've decided to write it. Now, if you've been reading my posts for the last couple of months, you'll have seen a few different ones featuring various products I picked up from Bath and Body Works when in New York (and you'll know I went in there far too many times)!
I was overwhelmed by the sheer volume of different body mists they had available, and there were just too many scents to be able to smell them all. So instead, I perused the shelves, giving a sniff to any particular names that caught my fancy... and I ended up with these four!
I love them all.
I really love to wear perfumes on a daily basis, but as a poor student, I can't afford to keep purchasing new fragrances, so I try to keep them for special occasions, or just as a treat every now and again. Because of this, and as I love the Body Shop mists, I really wanted to try some body mists from Bath and Body Works as I thought they'd be a more affordable alternative, and the type of fragrances I could use everyday. As you'd expect, the smells don't last as long as a perfume, but they still leave the most beautiful scents and I love that I'm able to wear them all the time.
So, the scents I got (p.s. I'm no good at describing smells.. so wish me luck):
Cool Amazon Rain - this is one of my favourites out of the four I picked up. Unfortunately its not showing up on the company website, so I have no help what so ever in describing the smell (forgive me). It is the perfect middle ground between a sweet and fresh scent, so it is ideal for summer. Imagine the fresh smell of rain on a summers day with a sweet/fruity hint... thats what this smells like (well, it does to me anyway)
Tahiti Island Dream - This is what a tropical desert island would smell like... no joke. With top notes of coconut water, sparking mandarin, pear and kiwi blossom and mid/dry notes of jasmine petals and sandalwood (as well as others), its a subtly bright and fruity smell with more deep and musky undertones. It is the perfect scent with an amazing balance of notes. Beautiful, but without being overpowering.
White Tea and Ginger - This scent totally contrasts the other I purchased, but I love it just as much! With a far deeper and earthy smell it will be perfect all year round and I find it ideal as more of an evening scent. As the name gives away, it has top notes of white tea leaves, sparkling yuzu and lemon, and mid/dry notes of bergamot, nutmeg, earl grey tea, ginger and white musk.
Cucumber and Melon - Well and truly summer in a bottle. This has the crispest and freshest scent imaginable and immediately lifts my mood when I spritz it on. With top notes of cucumber and honeydew, it is sweet and clean and a scent that really makes you want to start the day in a positive way.
If you live in the U.S, or are travelling to America on holiday, I'd definitely recommend giving all these scents and smell (as well as all the other gorgeous ones they have to offer)!
