Face of The Week!

Ok, so I know it's only monday.... but my routine is going to be thrown a bit out of whack this week! The heating is being done at my house so I am staying back at my moms for a few days, meaning I don't have much of my stuff to hand! Luckily, I had snapped some shots the other day when I felt half presentable, so I though it'd be great to put a little 'face of the week' post together to show you a make up look I've been going for A LOT recently (I will be putting this on later for going out for dinner with my mom)!

This make up look is so quick & easy to apply, especially if you're like me and aren't too great at the whole smoky eye/more advanced makeup technique thing!

So, what did I use & how did I do it?

Step one:

Firstly I take my Bourjois Happy Light primer and apply that all over my skin to give it a lovely glow before applying the Healthy Mix foundation all over the top. I use my fingers to blend this in as opposed to a brush or sponge as I feel it gives a far nicer and more natural finish, and as the healthy mix foundation is such a beautiful dewy consistency, it is super easy to blend in this way. After my foundation is done, I then take the Maybelline Eraser Eye just under the eye straight from the sponge on the end of the packaging, then blend out with my Bare Minerals concealer blush just to give a more flawless look.

Step Two:

So once my base is done, I then take my Bare Minerals 'Warmth' power and use it to add a slight contour under my cheek bones and over my face where the sun would naturally hit. This just adds a slight warmth to me skin and stops me from appearing quite so pale! Once that is done, I use the Soap and Glory Blusher on the apples of my cheeks and blend it outwards towards my hairline.

Step Three:

It's time to move onto the eyes! Both the cream eyeshadows in this Benefit 'world famous neutrals' set  are fab, so I apply whichever takes my fancy all over my eyelid as the first step! This really helps in creating a great base for the powers shadows to cling to, and makes the whole eye look last far longer! I then take a combination of 'it's complicated' and 'call my buff' and apply that to the inner corner and towards the centre of my eyelid before blending together. Then, I use 'kiss me I'm tipsy' on the outer edge and up through my crease to add that darker shade to the look! Finally to finish off my eyes I take the Eyeko skinny liquid eyeliner and just apply a thin line along my lashline to make my lashes look fuller & then I give them a coat of the Seventeen "doll'd up' mascara!

Step Four:

Finally it's time to move onto lips, and for this I use the Bourgois Rouge Edition Velvet in the colour Nude-ist. I Cannot recommend these lip products enough! As soon as I can afford to, I will be going out and picking up many more colours of this lip product as it is just amazing and lasts all day!

So, that's my 'face of the week' & some of my favourite products to use at the minute!

Have a great evening guys!
