Five Happy Things!

It’s back… well, more importantly, I’m back! I think (fingers crossed everyone I’ve finally got back in to the blogging game! It’s been a while since I’ve posted regularly, and I really wanted to get things back on track, giving you all regular content to get stuck in to! (I’m also hoping there may be a little revamp going on over here as my blog hits its 2nd birthday – keep your eyes peeled)!

Now, if you’re an avid reader of Things Tanith Did, then you’ll know the drill with Five Happy Things. It’s basically an idea that came to me towards the start of my blogging days, when trying not to dwell on the negative things and focus purely on the positive. I set myself the challenge of thinking of five things that made me happy each week as a way of incorporating more positivity into my life… and sometimes, I even share it with you guys!

So, what are my five happy things right now?

When Morning Comes.....

I don’t mind the mornings…. Well, not too much anyway. The night before an early start I sit longing for a lie in, but generally once I’m up and out of bed, things never seem too bad. Of course, getting up during the summer when the sun is already out and the outside world is bright is far easier than the dark, cold winter months, but I try and do several things each day (no matter what the season) to try and get myself kick-started and ready for the day ahead.

This post seems somewhat fitting now that I work a ‘normal’ full time job, with Monday to Friday hours. Prior to starting here I didn’t really have a routine as such, and every day was different. Over the past three years there were some days where I had university first thing in the morning, some days when I had it late in the day, and other days when I didn’t have to get up for anything at all. Alongside this I worked weekends, which meant getting up at 5.30am on a Saturday morning to start my retail based job at the joyous time of 7am. I feel like I’m finally getting back into a routine and my body clock is finally adjusting to my new schedule (hooray).

So, during the week, my day’s start something like this…..

Lets Colour!

Who said colouring was only for children?! Recently the shops have been filling their shelves with adult colouring books, which means that now, this really isn't the case. Colouring is something that can be enjoyed by everyone, and is incredible at helping to relax the mind - whether you suffer from stress, anxiety or just want a way to unwind.

For a while now I've been meaning to pick one up for myself, because the child inside me really wanted to colour in pretty pictures once again, now that it seems to have become deemed acceptable by society (not that I couldn't do it before if I'd have wanted to)!
